Ronald Samm performs for guests of the BBCF

Ronald Samm performs for guests of the BBCF The cold weather is here but we battled through it and went along to the Black British Classical Foundation (BBCF) Opera recital at Speaker’s House in the Palace of Westminster. The BBCF is a non-profit organisation that aims to take Opera to new audiences and venues. Hosted as always by the energetic and charismatic Founder and Artistic Director – Vincent Osborne, the evening introduced their new Board Members and an exciting 2016 season of performances and events ranging from small recitals to a large three day outdoor music festival.

Their major project however is a biannual competition “The Voice of Black Opera” for Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) singers from the British Commonwealth which is supported by the Royal Opera House and Wigmore Hall.

The critically acclaimed, Ronald Samm performed arias from Verdi, Puccini and the moving spiritual ‘You Can Heal The World’ accompanied on the piano by Allyson Devenish.
We enjoyed the evening so much (helped along by their sponsors NYTimber wines and Minus –(33) Gin) we pledged to become Ambassadors and to help them promote the work of the Foundation.

More information about future events and the BBCF can be found here.
